Leslie Morris
Leslie has been teaching for almost 30 years. She lived in Virginia for ten years riding, showing, teaching and judging schooling dressage and hunter shows. Although dressage became her primary focus, she competed in hunter shows and combined training events. While in Virginia, Leslie was selected twice to ride on the Virginia State Dressage Team in a twelve state competition at Gladstone. She was also selected to be a demo rider for the USDF national judge's symposium in North Carolina. She lived in Warwickshire, England, for two years where she competed in dressage and worked with (O) judge and author of Thinking Riding, Molly Sivewright. In 1992, she returned to Louisiana.
Leslie has worked extensively with Elizabeth Lewis, Debbie Bowman and Loma Fowler. She has also ridden in clinics with Captain Andy de Szinay, Max Gawhyler and Leif Sorensen. She has trained and competed horses from Training Level to Intermediare I and has participated in many USDF Instructors Workshops. Leslie is happy to work with any level rider and horse. One of her goals in teaching is for the rider to feel the harmony and balance that dressage training brings to the horse.
